Cooking up a new product

One of the projects we've been working on is a BMW e30 race car. With a 30 year old car, many things are very simple. This is usually very helpful for race cars... except when you start talking about data. Unfortunately the dummy lights (I hope they work still?) leave something to be desired when you're running an endurance race.

Our first thought was "get a digital dash" ..but it can be hard to justify a piece of technology that costs half as much as your whole project.

To improve this, we're working on a module that can gather sensor data (RPM, coolant temp, etc.) and report it to a tablet. 

There's a long way to go - namely in terms of the app that will display the data - but we're excited! Initial prototypes are in, and basic testing starts this week.
